There are 3 things you can guarantee about every Greek restaurant.
1. They use this exact font for their signs and menus. As soon as you see it you think....OPA! It sucks to be pigeonholed into a specific typeset but its synonymous with Greek cuisine. We've been programmed like Pavlov's dog to recognize it. Just seeing it will evoke a giant garlicky belch.
2. The inside of the establishment will be filled with actual pictures of Greece.
3. Somewhere within that restaurant will be a picture of the 2004 Euro Cup winning soccer team. Sometimes it's in the kitchen but always there. Just ask. I guarantee it. Ironically the word Euro is proper Greek pronunciation of the word Gyros. Its not GEE ROW or JYROW or GUY ROW.....and it's super tasty. About the size of a small football and just as aerodynamic. Try one out sometime. Prepare for indigestion.
